Can You Clean Around Pool Furniture and Patio Items?
In most cases, we recommend homeowners move patio furniture and other movable items before pool deck or lanai cleaning to ensure the best possible results.
Why Cleaning Around Furniture Usually Leads To Worse Results
While we technically can clean around patio furniture, grills, plants, and other movable items, we generally recommend having the area cleared before the cleaning appointment whenever possible.
Trying to work around furniture often leads to uneven cleaning and missed areas underneath the items. We would rather fully clean the entire pool deck, lanai, or screened enclosure properly instead of leaving sections partially covered or difficult to reach.
Some pressure washing companies may offer furniture moving for an additional charge since it adds extra labor and can slow down the schedule for the day overall. If larger items need to stay in place or require assistance moving, we simply ask homeowners to let us know ahead of time so we can plan accordingly.
In most cases, having the area cleared before we arrive allows us to work faster, clean more thoroughly, and deliver better overall results across the entire surface.
