How Much Does Driveway Cleaning Cost in Carrollwood?
Most driveway cleaning jobs in Carrollwood fall between $150–450 depending on size, algae buildup, surface material, and whether long sidewalks or additional walkways are included.
Why Do Some Driveways Cost More Than Others?
One of the biggest questions homeowners have is why one driveway cleaning quote might be $150 while another is $400 or more. The reality is that no two driveways are exactly the same.
The size of the driveway plays a major role and it’s the primary decider, but so does the condition of the surface. A driveway with years of algae buildup, rust stains, heavy organic growth, or weeds growing through pavers will usually take more time, treatment, and water flow to properly clean. These all mean more time invested or more chemical usage and time in between chemicals.
Some driveways also include corner-lot sidewalks, extra walkways, curbing, or oversized parking areas that increase the total square footage being cleaned. In some cases, large driveways can become half-day or full-day projects depending on the amount of buildup and the level of detail needed. We recently did a paver driveway that was 4000 sqft. That one took us a day and a half to clean as bigger driveways mean you need to stop to rinse the dirty water off the cleaned surface so that the Florida sun doesn’t bake it back into the surface.
How Do We Price Driveway Cleaning?
At JD’s Pressure Washing, we try to keep driveway cleaning pricing as straightforward as possible.
Most of our pricing is based on the total square footage being cleaned. In many cases, we can measure driveways, sidewalks, and walkways directly from Google Earth to provide a fast estimate without needing to visit the property first. (Unless it’s a new development, recent add-on, or the tree coverage prevents overhead view.)
Most driveway cleaning jobs we complete in Carrollwood and the Tampa Bay area fall somewhere between $150–450, although larger properties or heavily stained surfaces can cost more.
We also consider factors like algae buildup, accessibility, paver condition, and whether additional areas are being cleaned at the same time. Our goal is to provide realistic pricing while delivering a Veteran Level of Attention To Detail on every job.
What Actually Affects Driveway Cleaning Cost?
Several things can affect the cost of driveway pressure washing.
Some of the most common factors include:
- Total square footage
- Amount of algae or mildew buildup
- Oil, rust, or fertilizer stains
- Pavers vs standard concrete
- Heavy weed growth between joints
- Accessibility to water and work areas
- Additional sidewalks or walkways
- How long the surface has gone without cleaning
For example, a smaller driveway that has been maintained regularly may clean up quickly, while a larger driveway with years of buildup may require significantly more time and treatment to restore properly. We may need to go over it a few times in order to get to the desired result.
Generally speaking though, 90% of our jobs fall within the $150-450 range and based heavily on the square footage.
